We live in a world where survival is a concept, not a necessity.
Where ‘survival of the fittest’ is an animal characteristic taught in classrooms.
The focus has moved away from the individual and to society.
The group is a working, moving, breathing sweating mass.
You can’t go to school to learn to survive.
Survival is based off of the money you have in the bank over being the fittest.
See Socio-Economic Status
The animal necessity of shelter and food is taken for granted.
Looking for shelter is replying to a rent ad.
Hunting for food is grabbing the last chicken wing from the deli.
Most people would die if there were not supermarkets.
If there were not this façade of a society protecting them from animal instincts and nature.
All these things we do to survive are at the level of leisure.
We do not need astronauts
We do not need police
We do not need social workers
We do not need politicians
Gorillas don’t have Grocery Store Clerks.
Gorillas don’t need Grocery Stores.
We live in a bubble of luxury, protecting us from animal behavior.
We have evolved past mammal.
We are beyond animal.

You know, I'm glad you're an engineer. With tact like that, you'd make a lousy psychiatrist.
